Dakota County Seeks Volunteers for Website Testing

Dakota County is seeking volunteers to help with usability testing for a new website the county is working on.

The county says the website will make it easier to find the information you need.

WEB FORECAST: Clear and Sunny with a High of 74

According to KSTP meteorologist Patrick Hammer, today will be clear and sunny with a high of 76 and a low of 58. 

Tomorrow there is a chance of morning storms, but later in the day it will heat up. 

3,500 Local Hospital Workers Vote to Strike

About 3,500 members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Minnesota voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to strike.  After two days of voting, 91 percent supported the strike option.

If the union calls a 2-5 day strike it would affect:

-Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina
-Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis

Summer Concerts at Kelley Park Begin June 15

Next month, the free summer concert series resumes at Apple Valley's Kelley Park.

Performances are on Friday nights from June 15 through August 3. The series kicks off with Dustin Hatzenbuhler and Four Degrees of Freedom at 6 p.m. on June 15.

Drawings for bicycles and a guitar are scheduled for each concert. There's also food and beverages available for purchase.

Minnesota Zoo to Discontinue Dolphin Exhibit

Dolphins have been swimming around the Minnesota Zoo since 1978, but a major remodel project means they will have to move.

The zoo also has no plans to replace dolphins Semo and Allie.

Semo and Allie call Discovery Bay home, but now that Governor Dayton signed the 2012 Capital Investment Bill, their home will get a makeover.
